"Out with the old! Bureau goes digital and ditches Detectives" - GB Press, Saturday edition front page.

"Bureau staff walkout in face of layoffs" - The Sunday Tsar.

"Why the Bureau's A.I isn't working yet and how's that's a good thing!" - WebNews.co.uk

Making up a large portion of the country's remaining Detectives, Jane and John Doe are (to put things mildly) knackered. Now serving as little more than an acceptable face, they are ferried between cases to make reassurances, pass information onto their AI successor, D.E.T.E.C.T.IT and move on.

So when they are rerouted to Jane's childhood haunt, the town of Blighton, it is expected to be business as usual. Get in, do the leg work, make reassurances, and get out; but with the detectives at the end of their tether, and a Bureau in managed decline, business is anything but.
